Driveway Drainage

Back to News
SABdrain offers the perfect solution to a flooded driveway- the best channel drain system with low maintenance, whilst elevating your homes kerb appeal. It is the best choice for a complete, long lasting cost effective drainage solution to meet the demands of any driveway.

A flooded driveway can lead to concrete erosion, house damage and more. A simple solution is to install a driveway trench drainage system, which will allow water to move from the surface and into the channel where it can drain into sewage quickly. With a drain in place to manage & control the water, your driveway can dry quicker and standing water will no longer be an issue. There are many different drainage solutions, which can be overwhelming. The best solution is a channel drain- it is a great option for homes that sit below street level. This is the channel drain that requires a drainage grate to keep it free of debris. In many cases these systems can run the entire length of the driveway & are close to the houses’ garage.

Durability & Maintenance

SABdrain’s signature polypropylene channels are far superior to any polymer/concrete channel. Polypropylene is a state of the art material known for its good mechanical, chemical & heat resistance. The durability of the drainage channel should be taken into consideration when selecting driveway drainage. SABdrain’ s polypropylene channels & grates are easy to install & high strength. The advanced construction of the SABdrain drainage channel gives it greater structural rigidity, protecting it from damage during and after installation. The smooth rounded internal surface of the SABdrain water drainage systems creates higher flows rates while allowing a self cleaning action thus avoiding the accumulation of silt deposits. Installation

The added advantage of selecting SAB for your driveway drainage is the ease of installation. Our click-clack channels save you time & money. See how easy it is here.

Safety

When selecting the right type of grate for your house there are some safety options to consider. A home that has a lot of pedestrian traffic should install a driveway drain that has a grate which features anti-slip nodules, which gives the surface of the grate a slip resistant surface. SABdrain’s heel guard grates also prevent heeled shoes from catching in the grate. A driveway drain should also feature some type of lockdown system to prevent grates from becoming displaced and/or rattling when traffic passes over it. Please ensure the system you select is the correct load class; if not you risk the drain failing. Use our product finder to find the perfect drain for your driveway.
