What are Jonite grates?
Jonite was inspired by the beautiful and magnificent stone castles built during the Middle Ages & wondered if they could incorporate the rustic appeal of natural stone into durable, functional grates. Thus began their journey to creating the world’s first reinforced stone grate. In the years since, Jonite have developed into a brand that supplies a variety of architectural products in various standard applications. What is the difference between Jonite trench grates & Jonite pool grates
If you are using Jonite within 3 metres of a pool, Jonite recommends using their specialty pool grates. The pool grates have reinforcements made of a non-ferrous composite material that can make them last longer when exposed to chlorine, preventing rusting that can compromise on the strength of the grates.

Their swimming pool grates have excellent natural slip resistance, making it comfortable and safe for both children and adults, especially in frequently wet areas. The small elliptical holes of baby pebbles and thin slit slots of the chiseled rain design collection eliminate the danger of toddlers catching their toes in the grating. Jonite pool grates are also heat resistant, which makes the gratings more comfortable to step on in the heat of the midday sun.
Jonite pool gratings have a low water absorption rate of 0.5%. They maintain their colour when in contact with pool water, unlike natural stone slabs, which can discolour when in contact with water.
Their pool grates are built using composite reinforcements, ensuring longevity in the swimming pool as it is corrosion-resistant.

Are Jonite pool grates slip resistant?
Jonite pool/wet deck grates are slip resistant. They have conducted Pendulum and Ramp tests on their products to make sure their products meet industry standards for slip resistance. With a class V on the Pendulum test and an R10 on the Ramp test, Jonite can handle most locations and applications.
Are Jonite Products Sustainable?
Jonite commits to environmentally sustainable practices. They actively manage our energy, water, and waste with the future in mind. Jonite uses reinforced stone, which reduces carbon emissions by up to 80%.
Jonite products are also Singapore Green Building Product (SGBP) certified (4 ticks, leader). This means that you can score additional points under the Functional Systems Criteria (Flooring, Ceiling, Roof, External Wall, Internal Wall and Door systems) and/or Singular Sustainable Products outside of Functional Systems Criteria. This ensures that sustainability is integrated throughout the design and manufacturing process of green building products.
